Airhead Heavy-Duty Water Ski Tow Rope & Harness
Product description
This tow setup includes a curved aluminum-core handle with a performance-style grip and full-length finger guards for secure, comfortable holds during extended sessions. The handle features a radius curve (about 13 inches) and a slight ergonomic angle to promote a more natural wrist position. The soft EVA patterned wrap provides texture and cushioning, and the handle is designed to float.
The main cord is a 16-strand, UV-treated braided rope that resists sun damage and abrasion. It is offered as a convertible three-section rope so you can use full length or detach sections to create 75, 60 or 45 foot configurations depending on rider skill and activity (water skiing, wakeboarding, or kneeboarding). The construction includes an encased crossover yoke to shield the rope where it sees the most wear. Nominal tensile strength for the line is in the heavy-duty range, suitable for recreational towing demands.
A hook-and-loop Rope Keeper is supplied for neat, tangle-free storage and transport. The bright, differing colors on each section make the line easier to see in the water and help keep sections aligned when recoiling. Meant for repeated lake or coastal use, the assembly balances grip comfort with robustness; however, prolonged heavy use may show wear on the grip over time.
Pros
- Convertible three-length setup for multiple sports
- Comfortable curved aluminum handle with EVA grip
- Includes Rope Keeper and high-visibility colored sections
Cons
- Handle grip can begin to separate after extended use
- Some wear visible after several seasons of frequent use
- Reported mixed responsiveness from manufacturer support
VerdictA versatile tow rope built for long days on the water: the curved aluminum-core handle and textured EVA wrap make extended holds comfortable, while the 16-strand UV-treated line and encased crossover yoke provide solid durability and abrasion protection. The three-section design lets you switch lengths quickly for skiers, kneeboarders or wakeboarders and the bright color sections improve visibilit

Handle failed quickly on multiple units
Bought three over time and each developed separation of the grip within months. The rope itself is fine, but the handle became unusable. Attempts to contact the maker went unanswered.

Well-built and easy to manage
Needed a fresh rope for the lake. The multicolored sections make retrieval and winding straightforward, and the hook-and-loop strap prevents tangles. Very solid construction.

Comfortable for wake sessions
Padded, textured and curved — the handle is very comfortable. Line lasted several seasons before showing clear wear, and kids like using shorter sections for wakeboarding.

Perfect for those just getting into wakeboarding. The three-section setup makes dialing in the right length easy, the handle is comfortable and it floats. Comes with a Velcro keeper to keep it neat between outings.
