500 ft Lay-Flat Polyethylene Ventilation Ducting — Fits up to 14" Blowers
Product description
This product is a single 500-foot roll of clear lay-flat ventilation tubing made from polyethylene. The tubing measures 22 inches across when flat and inflates to roughly a 14-inch diameter in service. Material thickness is approximately 2 mil, offering elasticity and flexibility while remaining lightweight and easy to handle.
The hose is intended for temporary forced-air transfer and negative-air setups; it pairs with portable blowers (compatible with units up to about 14 inches). When airflow ceases the tubing collapses flat for compact transport and storage. Typical uses include water damage restoration, drywall sanding containment, building renovations, confined-space ventilation, and other short-term ventilation needs.
The polyethylene construction provides resistance to moisture and many common chemicals and helps deter bacterial and fungal growth, making the tubing acceptable for use in food prep or other sensitive areas where contamination control is needed. It is not engineered for permanent installation or continuous harsh-environment exposure.
Operating performance is rated for typical jobsite temperatures between about 41°F and 150°F (5°C to 65°C). The product is manufactured in the USA by a long-established ventilation and safety equipment maker with decades of industry experience.
Included: one 500 ft roll of clear lay-flat polyethylene ventilation ducting. No clamps, collars, or blowers are included; attachment to a blower outlet generally requires an appropriate adapter or band clamp to secure the hose.
Pros
- Lightweight and easy to roll up
- Resists moisture and many chemicals
- Collapses flat for compact storage
Cons
- Thin 2 mil material not for heavy abuse
- Designed only for temporary use
- May arrive dusty if not sealed tightly
VerdictThis 500 ft lay-flat ventilation hose delivers a lightweight, flexible solution for short-term air handling. It inflates to about 14" diameter, resists moisture and many chemicals, and stows flat when the blower is off. Expect economical, portable performance for restoration, renovation, or temporary containment—but don’t rely on it for permanent duct runs or heavy-duty site abuse.

Arrived dirty and partly unrolled
Probably fine for temporary ducting, but mine showed up partially unrolled and covered in dust — not what I expected from a new roll.

Creates effective negative pressure
Works well to establish negative pressure when used with floor blowers. We run multiple blowers to capture dust and fumes during drywall sanding and painting so contaminants don’t spread.

Far thinner than expected
Much thinner than anticipated and won’t stand up to heavy site abuse. I regret buying it.

Good performance over distance
I ran about 200 ft from the blower and it performed well. Much cheaper and easier than running rigid pipe.

Material too thin
Material feels too thin.

Stocked for future use
Bought to keep on hand and haven’t deployed it yet. Looks adequate for our negative air machine used in areas with strict dust controls.
