12V RV Macerator Pump — 12 GPM Portable Waste Grinder
Product description
This macerator is driven by a 150W pure copper motor paired with a reinforced grinding impeller, rated to move up to 12 GPM. It’s self-priming and designed for 10 ft maximum vertical lift and about 3.5 ft suction. The manufacturer states it will clear a 40-gallon (150 L) holding tank in roughly four minutes under ideal conditions.
The kit arrives with two power connection options: an alligator-clip cable for direct battery hookup and a 7 ft cigarette-lighter lead for accessory plugs. That extended lighter cable eliminates the need for extra extension cords and works with car, RV, and many portable power stations when supplying 12V DC.
A set of hardened blades macerates solids and toilet paper into a fine slurry so waste can pass through the included 1" clear discharge hose. A transparent viewing port on the pump housing lets you watch the outflow and helps avoid dry-running. The discharge path is easy to rinse and flush after use.
Fluid connections use 3/4" NPT brass fittings and stainless-steel hose clamps to resist corrosion and provide a secure seal. The unit is mounted on four anti-vibration pads to reduce noise and component wear, and a spare sealing ring is included for quick maintenance.
The package contains all necessary fittings for installation so no extra components are required for typical replacement or field use. Support is available with a 3-year warranty and round-the-clock customer assistance for troubleshooting or parts inquiries.
Pros
- High flow and fast tank emptying
- Dual power leads for battery or lighter plug
- Corrosion-resistant brass and stainless fittings
Cons
- Noticeable operational noise
- Limited suction head for uphill pumping
- Longer hose lengths may be needed separately
VerdictThis compact macerator delivers strong flow for rapid tank emptying and flexible power options for field use. It manages solids reliably and comes as a full kit with corrosion-resistant fittings. Expect some noise and limited uphill suction, but overall it’s a convenient solution for off-grid waste removal.

Huge time saver
Made emptying the black tank simple and saved me from moving the rig 100 ft to dump. Much less hassle overall.

Good performance but take more time
Performs well overall but the instructions are light on timing details. We found each step took longer than the manual suggested, so allow extra time for a full empty and flush cycle.

Perfect for a hunting/camp run
Used it at Elk camp to empty my RV and my son’s camper into a 30-gallon container. It handled both black tanks in about 20 minutes without overheating, then flushed the gray tanks with a 30' hose. Worked exactly as needed while boondocking.

Solid waste grinder
It pulverizes solids well and pushed waste through a 100' 3/4" hose on level ground with no trouble. I haven’t tested uphill runs yet.

Handy for travel
Very useful to have on trips — no more hunting for a dump station on the way home. It gets the job done.

Like an RV garbage disposal
Turns waste into a liquid output that flows easily out through a hose. We empty weekly and this unit makes the task straightforward and mess-free.

Runs well from cordless batteries
I added a step-down converter to run this off a 20V tool battery system and fastened the setup to a board. The adapter cost extra but avoided running wires to the coach. It’s quieter than expected, powerful, and I bought a 1" x 50' hose to reach the house cleanout.
