Trinocular Compound Microscope 40x–5000x with Dual Stage & HD USB Camera
Product description
Optics and viewing: This trinocular compound microscope comes with two pairs of wide-field eyepieces (WF10x and WF25x), two 2x magnifiers, and a high-resolution digital eyepiece for USB imaging. Lens surfaces carry optical coatings and the wide-field design reduces eye strain; interpupillary distance and individual diopter adjustment are included for user comfort.
Objective and magnification: The instrument uses a 185 achromatic objective built around an infinity optical layout to improve image sharpness and reduce chromatic aberration across red, blue, and green wavelengths. Combined with the supplied eyepieces and auxiliary magnifiers, overall magnification spans approximately 40x up to 5000x, including a high-power oil-immersion option for the highest magnifications.
Mechanical and illumination features: Core design elements include an LED illumination system, coaxial dual coarse and fine focus controls, a dual-layer mechanical stage for precise specimen movement, an adjustable focus lens element, a tube that rotates about 306° for flexible viewing, and expansion ports for external accessories. The stage offers mechanical slide controls for accurate positioning during observation.
What’s included: The kit ships with a comprehensive accessory set: 10 prepared slides, 100 cover slips, 10 tissue sections, 2 cotton swabs, 2 insect pins, microscope cleaning wipes, a petri dish, pipette, tweezers, a phone adapter for the eyepiece camera, a scalpel, test tubes, a dropper, a small brush, a dust cover, and shock-absorbing foam packaging for transit protection.
Use cases and support: Intended for biological observation, classroom science, veterinary checks, and hobbyist or home-lab use, this trinocular unit supports both direct binocular viewing and digital capture via the USB camera. If issues arise, the manufacturer provides customer support channels for troubleshooting and replacement parts.
Pros
- Wide magnification range with achromatic optics
- Extensive accessory set included
- Trinocular port and USB camera for imaging
Cons
- Some mechanical parts have loose fit tolerances
- Highest-power objective requires oil immersion
- Not as rugged as high-end research microscopes
VerdictA feature-rich trinocular compound microscope that delivers a broad magnification range and many accessories. It offers good optical performance for hobbyists, students, and light lab tasks, though some mechanical fit and finish issues limit its suitability for heavy research use. Useful as a learning tool and for routine examinations where portability and versatile optics matter.

Outstanding overall
Solid performance across its features — high-quality optics and accessories deliver a satisfying experience.

Works well; camera software issue
The bundled software was unavailable to me, but the USB camera functions fine with standard webcam apps. Note: the 1000x/oil lens needs a drop of immersion oil for optimal clarity.

Kids love it
Both my son and grandson enjoy using it. Everyone’s been pleased with how it performs for home exploration.

Impressive optics for the category
After several weeks of use I’m impressed by the clarity and color correction from the achromatic objective and infinity system. Wide-angle eyepieces make long sessions more comfortable. A few small refinements would help, but it’s a dependable tool for precise observation.

Suitable up to undergraduate use
A strong transmission microscope for home or undergraduate study. Better than typical high-school gear, though research labs with advanced optics outperform it, especially at oil-immersion magnifications. Ideal for homeschooling, hobby labs, or basic clinical checks.

Good introductory scope, some build compromises
Lightweight design and a very nice carrying case. Includes multiple objectives and eyepieces you can later upgrade. Some plastic parts and loose-fitting eyepieces reduce perceived durability; illumination and stage controls are helpful.

Good for general use, not true lab equipment
At this cost it’s impressive: a neat carrying case, lots of extras, interchangeable eyepieces, pre-made slides and a phone mount. Stage controls make specimen handling easy. Downsides include loose fittings in places and occasional alignment frustrations; serious lab users may want a more robust instrument.

More than a toy, less than professional
Better than cheap children’s microscopes, but not comparable to classroom lab equipment. Stage aperture arrived dirty and the prepared slides were low quality. Could be fine for casual curiosity but not for rigorous lab work.
