Make classic deep-fried favorites quickly — french fries, onion rings, chicken pieces, shrimp and more. The Presto 05420 FryDaddy is a compact electric deep fryer designed to cook four servings using just four cups of oil, following a 4:4 oil-to-food ratio for efficient frying.
The fryer is built from heavy cast aluminum with a PFAS-free ceramic nonstick coating on the inside and outside for easier cleaning and minimal sticking. It measures about 7 inches in diameter and includes a heat-resistant lift-and-drain scoop for removing and serving foods after frying. The unit maintains the proper frying temperature automatically with a preset thermostat (approximately 375°F), so there are no dials to set — plug it in, let it preheat, and start frying.
For convenience the FryDaddy has a snap-on lid that seals the fryer for oil storage and helps reduce spills and odors. A swing-up handle lets you carry and stow the fryer easily, and the power cord is removable from the base for tidier storage. The fryer is not dishwasher-safe and should not be fully immersed in water; let oil cool before wiping the nonstick surfaces.
Other practical points: it offers quick preheat and rapid oil temperature recovery between batches, making multiple short fry sessions possible. The package includes the fryer and the lift-and-drain scoop. The manufacturer backs the unit with a two-year limited warranty.

Good for small batches

Amazing fries and snacks
Really pleased with this FryDaddy. I fry with avocado oil and it doesn't leave a heavy taste — food comes out light and tasty. I drain into a strainer, store oil in the fryer under the lid, and the included slotted scoop makes serving simple. Feels sturdy and is fun to use.

Works exactly as expected. Uses much less oil than a skillet and you don’t need a temperature dial — plug it in, wait until it’s hot, and it fries perfectly. Great size for cooking halibut I caught.

Exactly what I needed
Liked the preset heat (around 375°F). My old fryer died so I wanted a smaller unit — 4 cups of oil is perfect. Made walleye, jalapeño poppers and fries with great results, then covered and set aside when cool.

Bought multiple times

Tiny but effective

Sturdy and easy to maintain
I love it. This is my second unit to buy as a gift. Uses less oil so foods absorb less grease. Once oil cools you can close it with the plastic lid and refrigerate.

Heats quickly, easy to clean
Very happy with it. Warms fast. Wish it had an adjustable temp, but cleaning is effortless and use is stress-free. I loved it.
