Instant Pot Duo Plus 6-Quart 9-in-1 Electric Pressure Cooker — WhisperQuiet
Product description
Nine versatile cooking programs let this unit replace several single-purpose appliances. Use it to pressure cook, slow cook, steam, sauté, run sous-vide cycles, cook rice, incubate yogurt, bake small cakes, or maintain food at serving temperature—all managed from an intuitive dial and buttons.
The control panel is angled for easier viewing and includes a clear message display plus a cooking progress bar. There are 25 recipe presets and step-by-step guidance built into the interface to help you through common dishes without guesswork.
Steam management is handled by WhisperQuiet technology: a low-noise baffle combined with a one-touch steam release button placed for safe, directed venting. That design aims to reduce noise and redirect steam away from overhead cabinets.
The included inner pot is 18/8 stainless steel with a tri-ply bottom and an anti-spin feature so it stays put while sautéing. The 6-quart capacity is suitable for up to six servings, making it practical for families and meal prepping. The removable lid and inner pot are dishwasher-safe for straightforward cleanup.

Very satisfied with results
Used it to make spaghetti sauce today and it came out perfect. Setup was easy and I appreciate that the steam release actuates away from the front, which feels safer during use.

Quiet operation and simple controls
Aside from wanting handles on the inner pot, it cooks beautifully and is easy to maintain. I haven’t tried yogurt yet but the machine seems capable. The unit vents quietly and directs steam away from the machine, which feels safer than older models.

Extremely handy and adaptable
I’m very pleased with my Duo Plus. I bought the 8-quart version for family meals and there’s ample space. It replaces several gadgets and is a real time-saver on busy nights. The controls are straightforward once you learn them, and cleanup is simple. Food consistently turns out well—great for reducing clutter and saving time.

Great for making yogurt at home
Bought the 8-quart for making L. reuteri and other yogurts. With temperature and time controls it ferments reliably—Skyr, Greek, and specialty cultures have come out consistently when following the temperature guidelines and using small additions like inulin. Very pleased with the results.

Essential for busy cooks
This appliance has made meal prep effortless. Items I forget to thaw or dishes that used to take hours now finish in a fraction of the time. It’s quiet, easy to use, and highly recommended for anyone juggling a busy schedule.

Problematic lid and O-ring design
I bought a large unit for bone broth and soups but struggled to install the lid. The red O-ring is difficult to seat and keep in place, and I couldn’t get a reliable seal. Locking the lid is hard to do on my own, and the assembly feels poorly thought out. I contacted support but haven’t had success getting past setup.

Quieter than my older pot, but not silent
Replaced an older 8-qt Duo Crisp. The new vent baffle reduces the loud, concentrated blast of steam and disperses it to the side, so it’s noticeably calmer. It isn’t totally silent, but far better than before. The weighted valve shape appears the same, so replacements should be easy, though the float valve now has a softer top which may affect compatibility.
