Clorox Concentrated Bleach Powder — 21.1 oz Bottle
Product description
This product is a solid bleach powder supplied in a 21.1 oz bottle. The formulation is designed to be poured and stored without the splashing risks of liquid bleach, and it dissolves quickly when mixed with water.
The concentrated nature means a single bottle creates up to 60 gallons of ready-to-use cleaning solution, extending how far one purchase will go and making it practical for laundry rooms, household cleaning, and larger cleaning tasks.
It’s intended for stain removal, whitening fabrics, and to boost performance in high-efficiency washing machines when used per dilution instructions. The powder activates on contact with water and is effective even when using a cold-water wash setting.
The packaging and delivery are promoted as a lower-impact option compared with traditional liquid bleach: significantly less plastic and water used in the product’s lifecycle and a lighter load to transport, while offering more uses per unit than the liquid form.
When preparing solutions, the powder dissolves before your eyes and can be measured in small doses to avoid waste. Follow label directions for dilution and safety precautions to limit inhalation and skin contact.
Pros
- Highly concentrated — long-lasting supply
- Fast-dissolving in cold water, low splash risk
- Smaller packaging footprint, lighter to ship
Cons
- Powder dust can irritate the nose and throat
- Must be measured and mixed before use
- Too much can be harsh on fabrics if overused
VerdictThis concentrated bleach powder delivers the whitening and stain-removal performance of liquid bleach while occupying less space and reducing transport weight. It’s economical — one bottle yields about 60 gallons of solution — and works in cold-water wash cycles. Handle carefully: the dry powder can produce irritating dust or fumes if inhaled.

Simple and reliable
I’ve been using this product for years (this is my fourth bottle). I sprinkle about half a teaspoon in the toilet bowl before leaving on week-long trips; it helps keep the bowl fresh while I’m away and is very easy to use.

Cleans effectively
Simple to mix and it cleans really well. It’s powerful, so follow dilution guidance and don’t make the solution too strong.

Big savings
A real game changer for household supplies. One bottle yields the equivalent of 60 gallons of strong cleaner. I mix a small measured amount into an old bleach container and it does the job — roughly two teaspoons per gallon.

Great performance and shelf life
Very concentrated and effective — gives results similar to liquid bleach but stays usable for much longer. Keeps well in the cupboard and saves trips to buy ready-made solutions.

Powerful and familiar
Bought this to brighten some white T-shirts and it performed strongly — similar to the 'raw bleach' my grandmother used back in Jamaica. It worked just as I hoped; I’d recommend it and would purchase again.

Easier on my wrists and clothes
I prefer this lightweight powder over lugging heavy liquid bottles. No splashes or sudden floods when pouring — I shake a tiny amount into the cap and mix. One bottle makes up to 60 gallons, so a pinch or half teaspoon lasts a long time. If a few pellets fall, they’re simple to pick up.

Exceeded expectations
This powder is surprisingly potent — only a small amount is needed. Much handier than dealing with a big liquid jug and easier to tuck away. I use it on laundry and to treat mildew on outdoor shower surfaces. Be cautious with the dust; it can sting if inhaled. I'll be sending some to family in the Caribbean.
