Strider 12 Sport Balance Bike (No Pedals) for Ages 1–4 — Blue
Product description
This model is a 12-inch balance bike built to help toddlers learn to ride by removing pedals and encouraging scooting and steering. Included in the package are the frame, fork, seat, handlebars, foam rubber tires, and the small tool kit needed for assembly.
The frame is made of lightweight steel and the whole bike weighs about 6.7 lbs (3.0 kg), making it easy for a child to manage and for parents to lift into a car. The tires are 12-inch foam rubber — they never go flat and need no maintenance, while still offering steady traction on grass, pavement, and packed trails.
Seat height adjusts between roughly 11–17 inches (28–43 cm), matching an approximate child inseam of 12–18 inches (31–46 cm). Handlebars are also adjustable so the bike can be sized for kids from about age 1 up to age 4. The manufacturer lists a maximum rider weight of 60 lbs (27 kg).
Assembly is straightforward and most owners report being able to put it together quickly using the supplied tools. The bike is used by having a child sit, push with their feet, practice balancing, and then progress to coasting with feet off the ground as their confidence grows.
Pros
- Lightweight steel frame easy for toddlers to handle
- Never-flat 12" foam tires require no upkeep
- Seat and handlebars adjust to grow with the child
Cons
- Seat post protrudes below the frame — some parents find it unsettling
- Limited to young children under the 60 lb maximum
- Foam tires may feel different than air-filled on rough terrain
VerdictAn effective starter bike for toddlers that accelerates balance development without training wheels. Lightweight steel construction and maintenance-free foam tires make it durable for backyard and trail use. Quick to assemble and adjustable to grow with a child, though the exposed seat post can worry some parents.

Survived Two Rough Kids—Still Going Strong
We had this for six years and both of my boys learned to balance on it. The older one took longer to coast, the younger picked it up earlier, but both transitioned to pedal bikes without major issues. It held up to daily use and still had life left when we finally passed it along.

Improves Balance and Coordination
This was a Christmas present for my son and it did exactly what it promised — helped him develop balance and coordination. A great starter for little ones learning to move on two wheels.

Huge Confidence Builder
Picked this up for my nearly three-year-old six months ago and he hasn’t stopped riding. It’s light enough for him to push and sturdy enough for light trails. Seat and handlebar adjustments have kept it useful as he’s grown, and the quick assembly was a plus. He’s now coasting with his feet off the ground down small inclines, so we skipped training wheels entirely.

A Gentle Way to Teach Riding: Confidence Without Tears
Teaching a child to ride can be stressful, but this balance bike removed all that for us. With no pedals to worry about, our toddler focused on balance and steering and progressed from walking it to coasting in a surprisingly short time. The look on their face the first time they glided a few feet was priceless — real confidence, not forced practice. It’s simple, intuitive, and turns a difficult milestone into a joyful one.

Fantastic Balance Bike!
This has been perfect for my little boy since his third birthday and he still loves it at four and a half. The build feels solid, it’s stable and safe, and it breaks down easily to fit in a car for trips. Adjusting the seat and bars is simple, and we expect to hand it down to another child in the family.

Excellent Starter for Walks
Bought this when our daughter was about 18 months. It took a little time for her to get comfortable but once she did she loved it. The bright pink looks like a proper bike, it’s sturdy, and light enough to carry when she’s done.

Good Product, A Bit Costly
Solid build and works well for toddlers, but I felt it was on the pricey side for what it is.

Great Ride, Concern About Exposed Seat Post
My son has used this daily since we got it and he loves it; the construction has held up well. My main worry is the seat post, which extends below the frame. During early wobbly falls I was afraid it might jab his leg or foot. I wish that area were designed to be more enclosed for safety.

You Won't Regret Getting One
I bought this before my son turned two and he took to it slowly but surely. At first he would walk beside it, then ride it around the house, and eventually he was using it outdoors on grass and short trails. A few months later he was zooming over driveways and small hills. Once he mastered balance here, he transitioned to a pedal bike very smoothly.

A Smart New Take on Kids' Bikes
Removing pedals and brakes turns this into a clever learning tool. My one-year-old took to it immediately and began walking with it the first day. It feels like a real bike rather than a toy, which I appreciate.
