ELEGOO Silk PLA 1.75mm Copper 1KG Filament — Glossy Silk PLA
Product description
This product is a 1KG spool of ELEGOO silk PLA in a copper shade, intended for standard hobby and prosumer 3D printers. The filament is formulated to give prints a glossy, shimmery surface that enhances decorative parts and finished models. The material is PLA-based, offering biodegradability characteristics typical of PLA with a silk-modified aesthetic.
The filament is produced from high-quality PLA resin to promote steady extrusion, low shrinkage, and minimal warping during printing. It emits little to no unpleasant odor while printing, making it suitable for use in small workspaces. Users of all skill levels — from newcomers to experienced makers — can use this spool for a wide range of applications.
Diameter control is tight at a standard 1.75 mm with an advertised tolerance of about ±0.02 mm, which helps maintain uniform feeding and layer consistency. That dimensional accuracy reduces the chance of under- or over-extrusion and helps avoid jams caused by inconsistent filament thickness.
Each coil is mechanically wound and inspected so the filament lays neatly on the spool; this arrangement lowers the risk of unexpected tangles or snags during a print run. The spool format is compatible with most common extruder setups that accept 1KG reels.
Before sealing, the spool is thoroughly dried and then vacuum-packed to protect against moisture pickup in transit and storage. This drying and packaging process reduces the likelihood of steam-related bubbles or clogged nozzles when printing, and supports more dependable first layers and smoother surfaces.

VerdictELEGOO's silk PLA in copper delivers striking, satin-like results and reliable feeding. Each 1KG spool is mechanically wound and vacuum-sealed after drying to prevent bubbles and clogs. Overall, it’s a dependable filament for decorative prints and prototypes where a gloss

Works well with other silk tones
The green silk paired nicely with a copper silk I had. Printed in the mid-range of the recommended temps and stuck to the bed fine. I dried the spool and had no moisture trouble.

Solid filament — works across printers
Very good filament that prints well even on printers that aren’t from the same brand. Nice shade and reliable performance.

Attractive look, slight green tint
Filament prints nicely and looks great; note that the darker shade can lean toward green under some lights rather than pure black.

Gorgeous color and flawless prints
I’m thrilled with this silk copper spool. I’ve tried several of their filaments and this one really stands out. It printed perfectly on my Flashforge AD5X and I’ll buy this color again.

Lovely sparkle with slower speeds
Some parts really shine while others are subtler. Slower printing seems to boost the sparkle; still experimenting to maximize the effect.

Decent color but some artifacts
I bought it for the hue and the outputs look good, but I encountered stringing and visible layer lines. Works fine for vases and simple prints, otherwise watch for those issues.

Color leans red
Shade is more red than pink, which I like. Prints come out nicely.
