6-Compartment Chicken Nesting Boxes with Support Legs and Roll-Away Trays
Product description
Comfortable laying space: This unit includes six individual nesting compartments, each roughly 10.4 inches wide, offering plenty of room for hens to settle. The compartments are designed so several hens may use a single hole without crowding, accommodating a range of common backyard breeds.
Built to last: The frame is crafted from galvanized steel paired with high-strength, easy-wipe plastic trays. These materials resist rust and tolerate pecking and general coop wear. A wide front rail adds stability and reduces wobble, creating a secure, quiet spot for hens to lay.
Simplified egg collection: The nesting trays are angled to let eggs gently roll into a protected collection channel. A simple handle opens the collection area so eggs can be retrieved quickly and without reaching into the nests, helping prevent accidental breakage and keeping eggs cleaner.
Hygiene and maintenance: Each tray has drainage holes to prevent water and debris buildup. The trays are fully removable for rinsing and replacement, and ventilation openings promote airflow to keep the interior dry and sanitary.
Flexible installation: The set ships with four support legs and hardware for freestanding use, plus hanging holes for wall mounting. Clear assembly hardware and a QR-linked video guide are provided to speed setup whether you choose to place it on the floor or mount it on a coop wall.
Pros
- Durable galvanized steel and tough plastic construction
- Angled roll-away trays simplify egg collection and reduce breakage
- Removable trays and ventilation make cleaning straightforward
Cons
- Paper instructions can be confusing for some users
- Assembly may be time-consuming for a single person
- Some hens may need time to accept the new boxes
VerdictA roomy, rugged nesting solution for small to medium flocks. The combination of galvanized steel and high-strength plastic gives long-lasting resistance to pecking and rust, while the angled trays reduce cracked eggs and make collection faster. Assembly can be fiddly for some, and the instructions aren’t always clear, but the option to hang it or use the included legs makes installation flexible.

Sturdy and reliable
Looks incredibly tough and well made.

Long-lasting and practical
I’ve used this with the support legs for six months now. Not mounted to the wall. You can pull the nests out to rinse them clean. Unlike wooden nests, these are easy to sanitize and seem built to last.

Nice design, tricky setup
Assembly was awkward and one lid won’t stay closed. I like the look and it’s easy to clean, but putting it together felt like a chore. A transparent cover option would ease safety concerns.

Great for expanding flocks
Very easy to move and clean. I’m currently using it with eight hens and plan to add more. Perfect size and not overly heavy.

Hens didn’t take to them
I liked the product and it seemed well built, but my hens refused them and kept laying on the floor and outside. Easy to assemble, but may not suit every flock’s preferences.

Solid construction
Took about 10 minutes to assemble. Feels heavy-duty and well made. Very happy with the build quality.

Effective with a small tweak
These work well. I covered the openings in the landing tray so hens can’t peck at eggs from underneath, and added non-slip drawer liners which solved sliding issues. Would purchase again.

Good, with room to improve
We’re familiar with the brand and generally like their gear. These boxes are sturdy and appear long-lasting, though they are a bit compact. My chickens are using them fine so far, even the larger ones. Put together solo in about an hour despite a couple of mistakes; not too hard overall.

Working well for us
Installed three days ago and most birds adapted quickly. Eggs are noticeably cleaner. Directions could be clearer, which made assembly more frustrating than it needed to be.

Exactly what my flock wanted
Putting it together wasn’t that difficult. The printed guide was a bit unclear, but a QR code linked to a helpful video that made assembly simple. My four-year-old hens switched to these nests the same day we installed them. I wish I’d upgraded sooner.
