4-Pack Silicone Thumb Grip Caps for Console Controllers
Product description
What you get: a pack of four silicone thumb covers for analog sticks. Each piece slips over a joystick to provide a textured surface and extra padding.
Compatibility: These caps are sized for a wide range of modern gamepads, including PlayStation 5 and 4 controllers, Xbox Series X/S and Xbox One pads, and Nintendo Switch Pro controllers. This product is an independent accessory and is not affiliated with the console manufacturers it fits.
Grip and protection: The tops feature an anti-slip pattern to improve thumb traction when gameplay intensifies, helping prevent accidental slides and improving control. The added layer also cushions the stick to reduce wear and soften impact.
Installation: Fitting and removal are straightforward — simply stretch the cover open and push it over the analog thumbstick. They can be taken off just as easily for cleaning or replacement, though initial stretching may require a bit of force.
Materials and comfort: Made from soft, skin-friendly silica-based silicone, the caps offer shock absorption and a smoother feel than bare plastic sticks. The curved profile is intended to reduce thumb fatigue during longer sessions.
Specifications and packaging: Color: black and white. Material: silica gel (silicone). Approximate size per cap: 2 x 0.5 cm (0.78 x 0.19 inches). Package contains 4 thumb grips. Note that manual measurement can introduce slight size variances and screen differences may cause minor color shifts.
Pros
- Improved traction and comfort
- Simple to install and remove
- Soft, shock-absorbing silicone
Cons
- Can be loose on some controller models
- Tight to stretch onto sticks at first
- May come off during vigorous play
VerdictA simple, low-cost way to improve stick feel and reduce slipping during play. The set includes four silicone covers that add cushioning and traction and are quick to fit. They work well for many controllers, offering a more comfortable thumb surface and some protection for worn sticks, though a few users report fit issues on certain models and that they can detach during intense use.

Solid Grip, Installs Quickly
They slide on in seconds and fit my controllers well. The extra traction makes long sessions more comfortable, and they stay put most of the time. Happy with the four-pack.

Nice Once On, A Bit Tough to Stretch
Comfortable against the skin. Hard to stretch over the sticks initially, but they fit well afterward. Note: you don’t get to choose colors in the four-pack.

Great Feel, Slightly Slippery When Sweaty
These match my controller nicely and give a smooth response and strong grip. Quality feels good, though they can get slick if my hands sweat. Overall very pleased.

Too Loose on Xbox One
Not a snug fit on the Xbox One joystick — it feels too loose.

Useful Concept, Needs Better Adhesion
Easy to put on and very grippy — no need to open the controller. Problem is they can be pulled off easily. I fixed mine with a bit of strong glue; adding interior tape would help.

Attractive but Slips Off
Looks good, but they slide off too readily. I can’t recommend them based on that.

Too Big, Needed Glue
They look okay but were oversized for my Xbox controller, so I glued them in place.
