Men's Cycling Waterproof Rain Jacket — Packable Hooded Windbreaker
Product description
Materials and construction: This hooded jacket is made from lightweight polyester with a durable water-repellent (DWR) surface. Inside there is a laminated TPU membrane that provides a 5000mm waterproof rating and approximately 3000g/m²/24hr breathability, designed to block rain while allowing moisture vapor to escape.
Ventilation and fit: The jacket includes zippered underarm vents and rear ventilation channels to help purge heat and sweat during intense activity. An adjustable elastic drawcord at the hem lets you fine-tune the fit to keep wind out and reduce flapping while riding.
Visibility and pockets: Reflective detailing is placed on the front, back, and hood to catch light from multiple angles for better visibility in low-light conditions. Storage includes three waterproof zippered pockets across the front, two internal pockets for small valuables, and a large rear zip pocket that doubles as a stuff-sack for compact packing.
Use and sizing: The fabric is ultralight and nonbulky so it stows easily in the back pocket or a pack. The cut is intended for active use — cycling, running, hiking, mountain biking, travel, golf, and fishing — and accommodates layering underneath. The jacket ships as a single item (the jacket itself, with integrated rear pocket for packing).
Pros
- Very breathable for active use
- Multiple waterproof pockets and packable rear pocket
- High-visibility panels with reflective detailing
Cons
- Hood fit can be tight over larger helmets
- May eventually wet out in long, heavy storms
- Lightweight fabric may need careful handling to avoid snags
VerdictA versatile, highly visible outer layer that balances waterproof protection with strong breathability. The DWR-treated polyester and 5000mm TPU membrane keep most showers out while underarm zips and back vents reduce overheating on the move. Plenty of pockets and a packable design make it travel-friendly. Minor drawbacks include hood fit for some riders and eventual saturation in prolonged downpou

Breathable, protective and highly visible
Used this jacket on two long bike tours totalling thousands of miles. It sheds normal rain well and the bright yellow improves visibility. I sized up and found the fit ideal; pit zips and back vents stop overheating, and the hood fits over a helmet. For longer wet storms it will eventually soak through like most lightweight shells, but it’s one of the most breathable jackets I’ve owned.

Attractive and well made
Looks good and feels like quality. Just haven’t tested it in heavy rain yet.

Solid choice for cycling trips
Wore it cycling across Italy for two weeks with several rain spells. Warm enough, compresses easily, and the underarm zippers really help with ventilation when temps rise.

Comfortable and clever vents
Very comfortable and roomy. Keeps wind out and the underarm vents cool you quickly. The fluorescent color actually glows under UV and it packs down neatly.

Quality control issue noticed
The finish on my jacket was imperfect — the underarm zippers lacked the inner mesh. I also bought versions for my wife and daughter and theirs had the mesh, so it seems inconsistent.

Great build and functional design
Bought for a short daily commute and weekend rides. After multiple outings, including rain, the material and construction have held up well. Zippered pockets and vents are practical. I’m 5'10", 195 lb and the large fits with room for a midweight layer underneath.

A must-have for unexpected wet rides
Took this on a six-day wet ride and rode over 250 rainy miles. Hood fits over a helmet, wrists seal well, and the rear coverage is handy. The underarm vents are excellent when you heat up. Highly recommended.

Sharp appearance and effective
Clean design and performs well when it rains.

Well suited for rainy commutes
Has been reliable on wet commutes: waterproof, well ventilated, and very visible. Hood could be taller and the neck area roomier when used over a helmet, and there's no tidy stow for the hood, but overall I’m happy with the purchase.
