Ring Floodlight Cam 4K Pro (Wired) — 4K Floodlight Security Camera
Product description
This wired Floodlight Cam ships as an integrated outdoor security fixture. The package typically includes the floodlight camera housing with integrated LEDs, a mounting bracket, fasteners and anchors, wiring connectors, wire nuts, and a quick-start guide with a QR code for setup instructions. The unit is intended to replace an existing outdoor light and fits standard outdoor junction boxes.
The camera records in Retinal 4K resolution and offers a 10x enhanced zoom for closer inspection of events. Two motion-activated floodlights produce up to 2,000 lumens to illuminate large areas, and the device includes an 85 dB siren that can be triggered from the companion app. A Low‑Light Sight mode provides color imaging in near-dark conditions when ambient street lighting is present, reducing reliance on the floodlights for identification at night.
Built for outdoor use, the housing is weather resistant with a protective lens cover and robust mounting hardware suited to porch, garage, or eave installations. The unit relies on hard‑wired power and connects to your Wi‑Fi for Live View, two-way talk with enhanced audio, motion alerts via 3D Motion Detection, and optional integration with voice-enabled displays and assistants. Video performance may vary with network bandwidth and environmental conditions.

Quick setup — replaced an old deck light
Installation was easy for an outdoor deck replacement. The package had all necessary parts, the QR code directions are clear, and setup took about 30–45 minutes. Good picture quality and straightforward wiring instructions.

They’re loud and always alert
These units are very responsive — they announce almost every passerby. With a subscription the activity notifications can sometimes misclassify pets and routine tasks, but the hardware works well and installation was simple.

Solid overall, color and zoom could improve
So far we’re happy with the unit. The 10x enhanced zoom isn’t as dramatic as advertised and color rendering is a bit off compared to our previous camera. Installation was very easy and the illumination is excellent. Night vision without the floodlights is notably clearer. Hoping software updates will refine color and zoom performance.

First floodlight camera — wide coverage
This was my first floodlight camera so I can’t compare directly to 2K or 1080p models, but the image is as clear as viewing the yard in daylight. Motion is detected well out to about 150 feet; I mounted it at roughly 8½ feet. I kept the sensitivity at the default setting. At night the lights trigger for movement — even small animal or weather motion — and they stay on about a minute, so power draw feels modest compared with older motion floodlights. Hardwiring is straightforward when replacing an existing fixture; a new install is manageable with online guides or an electrician. The app is user-friendly.

Solid floodlight and camera that was simple to mount and add to my Ring setup. Video is clear and it reliably detects people approaching. Overall pleased and would recommend to others.

Good upgrade from Tapo and older Ring
I moved from a standard-def Ring and a Tapo 2K+ model. The Tapo had better resolution than the old Ring but was slow to show live images. This Ring felt better engineered — the bracket and wiring strap made installation easier, and the inclusion of a copper ground wire is important outdoors. Setup was quick, the image quality and field of view are an improvement, and the live feed snaps in faster than the Tapo.
