SmallRig Lightweight NATO Top Handle for Camera Cage (Model 3766)
Product description
Comfortable ergonomic grip: The top handle includes a silicone sleeve with four finger grooves to improve hold and reduce slippage during long handheld or low-angle work. The contoured surface helps relieve arm strain when shooting for extended periods.
Quick, tool-free mounting: Designed for cages that use NATO rails, the handle clamps on via a NATO interface and is secured with an integrated knob. The clamp is fast to engage and release so you can reconfigure your rig on the fly. Important: compatible only with NATO rail systems (rail sold separately).
Lightweight, high-capacity construction: The main body is machined from aluminum alloy and features a hollowed design that reduces mass. The handle itself weighs about 124 g (0.27 lb) yet is rated to support payloads up to 10 kg (22 lb), making it suitable for cameras with accessories attached.
Multiple accessory mounts: There are five cold shoe mounts—three positioned at the front and two at the rear—so you can attach lights, microphones, wireless transmitters, or small monitors at once.
Threaded mounting options: The handle provides a total of twelve threaded holes: ten 1/4" sockets and two 3/8" sockets compatible with ARRI-style accessories. These allow attachment of monitor mounts (for example a 2903B-style mount), magic arms (like model 2066B), or other third-party clamps and brackets to expand rig functionality.

Love this accessory
Very pleased with it — consistent quality across this brand’s accessories has me replacing other bits with their parts.

Light, solid, and run-and-gun friendly
Good build quality and comfortable even for smaller hands. NATO fast attachment is ideal for run-and-gun work. Used with a heavy 24-70 setup it eased arm fatigue — only question is how long the NATO clamp will hold up over years of heavy use.

Comfortable grip and practical mounting
This NATO handle upgraded my rig. The silicone grip is comfortable and secure for handheld work, and the quick-release NATO clamp makes swapping positions fast. The extra cold shoes let me add a mic and small monitor without hassle — lightweight but feels tough in use.

Quick to attach, versatile and compact
The attach/detach action is smooth, which makes changing configurations fast. The handle size suits medium to small hands and the grip stays comfortable during long shoots. Multiple mounting points made adding a monitor and mic straightforward and reliable.

Very useful but needs a short rail
Great extra grip for ground-level shots, but you do need a short 4 cm quick-release NATO bar with 1/4" screws to actually mount it. Without that adapter it won’t attach.

Light, roomy and dependable
Ideal for my handheld M50 setup. Small but offers a surprising number of mounts and leaves enough room for bigger hands. I've run a mic, monitor and light without anything loosening.

Big improvement over the basic handle
Swapped from the basic holey handle and the difference is night and day. NATO mounting is much faster than screw-in setups, and the grip is far more comfortable for reverse or regular holds.

Handy but needs an extra base piece
Solid size and grip with lots of NATO points. It needs a short base block (not included) to attach to some cages, and the quick-release takes a moment to master. I docked a star because the connecting base isn’t supplied.

Ergonomic and featherweight
Kept this after trying another brand. It’s sturdy, light, and comfortable to hold. My only small wish: a sliding vertical mount option for lateral adjustment.

More attachment points than you'd expect
Plenty of mounting locations for accessories. It mates nicely with the NATO rail on my cage, the rubberized grip feels premium, and the machined cutouts keep weight down. It has already protected my camera from a close scrape.
