Wild Badger 26cc Gas 3-in-1 String Trimmer & Brush Cutter
Product description
This 3-in-1 yard tool ships with two cutting options: a 17-inch trimmer head that doubles as an edger for lawns and borders, plus a 10-inch brush-cutting blade for thicker weeds and small brush. The package also includes a rubber grip handle for better control and a shoulder strap to share the load during extended use.
Power is supplied by a 26cc, 2-cycle full-crank engine that is built to run smoother and last longer than many half-crank units; the design also helps with fuel efficiency. The powerhead accepts compatible Wild Badger Power attachments and other like-for-like shafts that lock into place, so you can expand the tool’s capabilities without buying multiple machines.
Startup is designed to be straightforward—most users report reliable starts within five pulls—and routine access to the air filter is tool-free to speed maintenance. The shaft and fittings are engineered to accept both the line trimmer head and the metal blade; use the line for grass and edging, swap in the 10" blade for heavier vegetation. The manufacturer backs the product with 24-hour customer support and a 3-year limited warranty.
Pros
- Powerful 26cc full-crank engine
- Two cutting options (17" trimmer, 10" blade)
- Tool-free air-filter access and easy starting
Cons

VerdictA powerful, multi-function garden tool that handles both light trimming and tougher brush when fitted with the metal blade. Expect solid performance for heavy-duty hobby use, though some buyers prefer upgrading the harness and adju

Bought a second one after years of good service
My husband loved the original unit we had for four years with multiple attachments. When the main unit began acting up—likely a carburetor issue—we replaced it with the same model so he could keep using the old attachments. The new one fired on the first pull and ran smoothly; he’s stuck with the brand now.

Strong cutter with economical fuel use
This unit chews through two- to three-inch stalks and small branches when using blades. It has enough torque for farm work and doesn’t sip too much fuel—my mix at 50:1 works well. The pull start is reliable after learning the technique. My only gripe: I’d prefer the handles mounted a little farther down for leverage, and the included harness is usable but not the most comfortable.

Stopped working quickly and support went silent
Product failed under two months of light use and would no longer start. I followed troubleshooting guides and tried multiple fixes with no success. After contacting the seller for a refund or replacement they stopped responding despite follow-ups, and returning a fuel-equipped machine created additional hurdles. Very frustrating experience.

Powerful unit but the stock harness is poor
Engine runs fine and the tool has the expected heft because of the reinforced shaft for multi-tool use. The included harness was unusable for my back issues—too uncomfortable for more than a few minutes—so I bought an aftermarket harness that made it workable. If you have shoulder or upper‑back problems, plan on replacing the strap.

Impressive for the cost, plenty of power
I managed heavy trimming for hours on a 12-acre hobby farm. Compared to professional units I’ve used, it’s a pleasant surprise for this category. Starts reliably for me and the weight is manageable with a harness. The supplied strap works, but I upgraded to a more comfortable model similar to professional rigs; that made long sessions much easier.

Overheats and stalls under heavy use
As a pro, I need gear that runs all day. This one began dying when it got hot and was difficult to restart, costing me time and money on jobs. The detachable shaft may contribute to the issue. I had high hopes but can’t rely on it for continuous commercial work.

Handles heavy roadside brush where lighter trimmers fail
I needed something tougher than my lightweight trimmer for a creek path. The 26cc unit powered through tall oat grass and reed clumps where my smaller machine’s line kept failing. For dense tussocks I switched to the metal blade and it handled them much better. When cutting at the base I made multiple passes to avoid jams, but the trimmer line held up far longer than my old tool.

Severe vibration with blade — safety concern
When I fitted the metal blade the vibration was extreme and unsafe: it burned my hand through gloves, leaked grease, and knocked the shaft pin loose within seconds. That created a risk of the blade detaching. I contacted the seller and hit roadblocks getting a refund because of return logistics for fuel-filled equipment. I won’t use the blade again.

Comfortable harness but thin instructions
The box was heavy and the harness is actually very comfortable in use, which made long jobs easier. The weak spot is the manual—assembly and cord routing weren’t shown clearly. A little trial and error solved it, but better documentation would save time. Mechanically the machine performed well in my tests.

Great value compared with higher-cost competitors
This was my affordable alternative to much pricier commercial gear. I use it on a property with hidden stumps and thick weed patches where a mower won’t go. First attempts to start it took a while following the manual, but after sorting the procedure it ran well for brush clearing jobs. It’s a solid bargain if you can live with a little setup time.

Plenty of cutting power, parts availability an issue
The hedge trimmer attachment handled 3/4" branches without trouble and the trimmer head winds quickly. After heavy daily use the engine still felt fresh, but I did wear out the upper shaft and couldn’t find replacements on the manufacturer site. Otherwise it’s powerful and dependable in operation.
