BN-LINK 6x8 Under-Tank Reptile Heating Pad with Adjustable Knob
Product description
Updated design with a manual control: This model features a user-adjustable knob that lets you set the output by hand. The control adjusts the mat’s surface heat so the tank becomes warm without burning the inhabitants.
Low power consumption and quick warm-up: The heater contains a coiled heating element and insulating layers that allow it to reach working temperature within minutes. Rated for standard household supply (120 volts) and consuming only 8 watts, it’s intended to be an energy-conscious supplemental heat source.
Simple installation: The 6" x 8" mat is sized for 10–20 gallon glass terrariums. Setup involves peeling the protective backing from the supplied adhesive, powering the unit briefly to flatten it, and sticking the pad to the underside or side of the aquarium where you want localized warmth. The adhesive is meant to hold the pad in place on smooth glass surfaces.
Durable, flexible construction: The surface is made from a water-resistant, elastic outer material that tolerates light cleaning. Its flexibility helps it conform to glass and remain compact when not mounted. The mat is engineered to remain pliable while protecting the inner heating wire.
Intended use and warranty: Designed primarily for reptiles but suitable for amphibians, small mammals, and plant terrariums, the pad produces a typical surface range of roughly 104°F to 122°F when in use. Each unit ships with the manufacturer’s 15-month warranty.
What's included: One 6" x 8" under-tank heating pad with integrated cord and adjustable knob, adhesive backing strip for mounting, and warranty documentation.
Pros
- Low 8W power draw
- Flexible, water-resistant material
- Manual knob for direct temperature control
Cons
- Dial can be overly sensitive
- Adhesive may lose grip over time
- Pad can feel thin and may trap air bubbles
VerdictThis compact under-tank heater gives reliable background warmth while drawing very little power. Its flexible, waterproof construction and adhesive backing make installation quick on standard glass terrariums, and the manual knob provides immediate control over surface temperature. The unit suits 10–20 gallon enclosures and delivers a narrow operating range ideal for species that need a steady war

Solid performance but fussy dial
I purchased four for tarantula enclosures and once set they hold temperature consistently. Adhesive stays put and the cord length reaches outlets without extra extension. The adjustment knob is too touchy, making fine tuning awkward — clearer markings or a digital control would improve usability. Still a dependable mat overall.

Keep the box and sticker
Don’t toss the packaging or the adhesive strip — they matter. Works well for me; giving it five stars and sharing in my reptile videos.

Sticks well and does the job
Adheres neatly to my tanks and the dial lets me set a steady warmth. Also helped stabilize humidity for my hermit crabs. Very happy with how it performs.

Good heat source
Provides reliable warmth for my reptiles and keeps their basking area comfortable.

Heats but raises safety questions
The pad warms as advertised but feels thin and develops lumps from trapped air. Controller and cord feel inexpensive, and the adhesive wasn’t great on my setup. I recommend using a separate thermostat for added overheat protection — otherwise there’s some risk if you’re not careful.

Grateful for the adjustable control
I suddenly became responsible for a bearded dragon and needed a quick way to keep her warm in an open glass tank. This pad lets me dial in a cozy spot at night; she settled into it right away and seems much more comfortable now.
