Trazon Double‑Sided Rug Tape — Heavy‑Duty Carpet Adhesive Roll
Product description
What’s included
One roll of double‑sided hot‑melt carpet tape packaged on a removable liner for simple handling. The roll is intended for cutting to desired lengths to secure rugs, runners, mats and floor coverings.
Materials and construction
The tape uses a hot‑melt adhesive layer bonded to a flexible film carrier with release paper on both sides. The hot‑melt formula provides high tack and tensile strength compared with standard acrylic tapes, while the liner protects the adhesive until application.
Sizes and application
The product is supplied as a continuous roll sized to be cut to fit any rug edge, corner or mat. To use, trim the tape with scissors or a utility knife, peel away the release liner, press the adhesive side to the floor or rug backing, then remove the opposite liner and press the rug into place. It can be used along perimeter edges, in corners, or in strips across running paths.
Performance and removal
Designed to resist moisture and elevated temperatures encountered in homes, this tape aims to hold coverings in place for weeks to months. When removal is needed, the roll’s hot‑melt formula is formulated to lift cleanly without leaving heavy gummy residue on many common floor materials, though testing on delicate surfaces such as certain vinyls or freshly finished hardwood is recommended.
Typical uses
Ideal for anchoring area rugs, stair runners, bath mats, gym mats and protective floor covers. Also useful for temporarily securing boards or craft components. Its grip helps reduce slipping hazards for children, seniors and pets by holding mats steady under foot traffic.
Pros

- Removable with minimal residue on most floors
- Water and heat resistant for versatile use
Cons
- May require a compatibility test on delicate finishes

VerdictA strong sticky solution for holding rugs and mats steady on many indoor floors. It’s versatile for hardwood, laminate, vinyl and bathroom or gym mats, and helps reduce trips and slips. Users should test a small area on delicate finishes to confirm compatibility, but

Held my large rug steady
Easy to work with and gripped the large rug reliably. Backing peeled off without trouble. I bought another roll because it performs well.

Works for rugs, not ideal for rubber mat edges
Kept the rug in place, but didn’t fully secure the edges of my rubber exercise mat; a different product may suit that material better.

Very disappointing performance
Did not adhere reliably to some carpets and came away from others. Felt thin and gooey, tended to roll up and could make a mess.
