Reptile
Dual-Outlet Reptile Thermostat and Day-Night Light Timer
Product description
This controller provides two independently operating sockets for reptile and amphibian habitats. The package includes the main controller and a wired temperature probe that can be replaced if damaged. The unit’s enclosure is compact and intended to sit near the tank while the probe is positioned inside the enclosure for ambient readings.
Socket S1 is a clock-driven outlet used for scheduled lighting. It offers three programmable timing programs; to enable additional timing slots you long-press the SET button during configuration. If you want a continuous on state for S1, set the timer start to 12:00 AM and the end to 11:59 PM.
Socket S2 is a non-dimmable, temperature-controlled outlet. It switches on or off according to the temperature thresholds you define for day and night periods. You set the start and end times for day/night and assign corresponding low/high temperature points. The temperature range can be configured between 32 and 140°F so you can create separate daytime and nighttime thermal profiles.
Intended uses include powering UVB lights, heat lamps, ceramic heaters, heating pads and shades where timed or constant heating is required. It is not designed to operate cooling devices. Electrical limits are a maximum 1250-watt load with a 10 A cable rating. The temperature sensor reports with an accuracy of approximately ±2°F and refreshes every 500 ms; the sensor is replaceable if it becomes damaged.
Using distinct day and night temperature settings helps animals distinguish photoperiods and thermal cycles, which supports normal behavior and growth. The unit offers flexible scheduling and temperature control in a single device, though configuring the interface can take a bit of time to master.
Pros
- Combines timer and thermostat in one unit
- Separate day/night temperature programming
- Replaceable temperature probe and quick sensor refresh
Cons
- Display lacks backlighting
- Interface has a learning curve
- No battery backup for saved settings
VerdictThis compact controller merges timed lighting and thermostat control into a single unit, making it convenient for small reptile setups. The first outlet handles scheduled on/off cycles while the second responds to ambient readings so you can program different day and night temperature ranges. It’s accurate enough for routine use, supports three timer presets, and tolerates loads up to 1250 W. The

Works but needs rescue features
Once programmed it runs well. The UI is awkward at first — Bluetooth or a backlight would help. No backup battery means any power glitch erases settings and forces a reprogram, which is a real pain.

Does exactly what I needed
I rarely leave feedback, but this unit feels solid. It handles scheduled lighting and two programmable temperature bands for day and night. Looks good so far and functions as expected.

Accurate and dependable
The thermostat holds the programmed day/night windows consistently. It took a few attempts to learn the menus, but once configured it’s easy to use. I’ve only had it a short time and am impressed. Would be nicer with a backlit screen for easier reading.

Essential for my enclosures
I use three of these for my ball python tanks. Good value and accurate results. You can schedule lights and set warmer days with cooler nights to mimic natural conditions.

A great unit — one per tank
This is excellent. Setup was very simple and the temperatures I check always stay within the set ranges. Works perfectly for my white's tree frogs. I’m buying another for my bearded dragon.

Terrible instructions
It may function, but I only got it running by accident and couldn’t reproduce the process to change settings. The screen font is tiny and poorly lit; even a magnifier barely helped. I’m pursuing a replacement.

Temperature control is the primary role
After a couple of confusing days I sorted it out: plug your daylight bulb into S1 and set the timer (I run 7:15 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.). The ceramic heat goes into S2, which reacts to the probe readings rather than the clock. S2 turns on at your low set point and off at the high point for each day/night range.

Perfect for my setup
Exactly what I needed — a light timer and a heat controller in one device. It seemed well made and was straightforward after reading the instructions. I set day temps to 83–87°F and nights to 72–76°F and it follows those ranges reliably. You can also pick a fixed temperature or a small swing for a more natural cycle.
