3/4" NMO Antenna Mounts — Solid Brass Hole Mounts, 2-Pack
Product description
This package contains two complete NMO through-hole mounts intended for use with standard mobile antenna installations. Each unit is machined from solid brass and includes the threaded NMO outer body, a precision center contact pin, PTFE insulator, sealing o-ring, and a protective PVC sleeve for the cable entry. The pair gives you everything needed to mount two antennas or to outfit multiple vehicles or fabrication projects.
The mounts are built for a standard 3/4" (19 mm) hole cutout and advertise a 1.1-inch NMO thread diameter with a 0.21-inch center contact pin diameter. The center pin is machined from brass and plated to resist oxidation so it keeps reliable contact with the coax center conductor. The PTFE (Teflon) insulator separates the center contact from the outer body and offers high temperature resistance for soldering and heavy duty transmit cycles.
A heavy-duty UV-resistant PVC sleeve slides over the cable entrance to shield the joint from sunlight, moisture, and road grime, and the components are designed to clamp down to form a tight seal when installed into sheet metal or mounting plates. The outer brass body and internal components are intended to resist corrosion so the connection remains secure after exposure to weather and vehicle washing.
Installation is straightforward: cut a 3/4" hole in your chosen mounting surface, seat the mount from the exterior, secure with the nut and o-ring, and attach your coax by soldering or crimping to the center pin and shield. These mounts are commonly used for ham radio and commercial mobile antennas and work with typical mobile coax assemblies, though choices of coax type and sealing methods will affect overall system loss and longevity.
Pros
- Solid brass construction for durable conductivity
- PTFE insulator tolerates high soldering heat
- UV-resistant PVC sleeve for exterior protection
Cons
- Not ideal for some external bracket applications
- RG‑58 or similar coax can be lossy at higher UHF bands
- Proper tools and sealing recommended for best results
VerdictThese two-piece NMO hole mounts deliver robust construction and reliable electrical connection for mobile and amateur radio antennas. The all-brass bodies and corrosion-resistant contact pin ensure steady RF transfer, while the PTFE insulator and UV-resistant PVC sleeve protect the connection under heat and outdoor exposure. They’re well suited for roof or trunk-through mounting and for builders f

Standard, dependable NMO mounts for amateur radio
These are the typical through-hole mounts used by many hams for vehicle antennas. They’re well made and provide a sturdy base for NMO antennas on cars and trucks.

Perfect for thru-roof mounting, not suited to some bracket uses
Well-made and nicely finished, but these are designed as through-hole roof/trunk mounts rather than bracket-only applications. They accept typical RG‑58-style mobile coax, which is common but not the lowest-loss option for higher UHF frequencies. I planned to use them on a fender bracket but wasn’t confident I could weatherproof them properly in that orientation. Good hardware, just not the right fit for my bracket plan.

Good quality pair — ideal for DIY radio projects
This two-pack of solid brass mounts worked well for my son’s ham radio setup on both his truck and sedan. They’re rust-resistant and straightforward to install, and he found them well suited to his mounting needs. Good value and recommended for DIY installs.

Solid construction and weather-ready — excellent for vehicular installs
Heavy brass construction with a corrosion-resistant center pin gives solid electrical contact and low SWR across VHF/UHF. The Teflon insulator stands up to high heat during soldering and heavy transmit cycles. The UV-resistant sleeve keeps moisture out of the cable entry, and the mounts seat cleanly into a 3/4" drilled roof or trunk hole. The two-pack is handy for dual-antenna setups or outfitting multiple vehicles. Overall a professional-grade foundation for mobile antennas.

Precision machining and quality materials — well finished
These through-hole mounts are nicely machined from solid brass with a Teflon insulator between the center pin and outer body. Hole and wrench dimensions matched common specs with no visible defects. They’re great if you want to build a neat panel or replace a corroded mount.

Well made and reliable — fits mounting plates cleanly
These standard NMO mounts fit my plates perfectly and tightened down securely. They are real brass parts rather than thin plated metal and soldered to coax without issues. A center pin wrench makes tightening much easier; after years of installs I find the proper tool worth having. A dab of compatible sealant beneath the plastic cap after soldering keeps the connection sealed — choose sealants that won’t induce corrosion. Overall solid mounts and good value.

No-frills, serviceable NMO mounts for general use
Basic, affordable NMO mounts ready for coax termination (up to RG8x). Center pin appears gold-plated and solders easily. The shield fingers need a little bending to shape before crimping, but the two halves screw together precisely and the o-ring seats properly. A practical choice for non-critical applications.
