SHA CERLIN 14-Inch King Metal Platform Bed Frame with Wooden Head & Footboard
Product description
Construction and contents: This bed frame ships with a powder-coated metal frame, retro-styled frosted metal slats, a wooden headboard and footboard, labeled hardware, and plastic foot plugs. Non-slip strips secure the slats in place and the wooden boards are treated to resist water and scratches.
Capacity and clearance: The frame is engineered to support up to 800 pounds. It sits on a 14-inch platform which provides approximately 12 inches of usable storage beneath the mattress — ideal for bins, boxes, or seasonal items.
Floor protection and noise reduction: Plastic caps on the bottom of each leg prevent floor damage, while the non-slip strips and tightened fittings eliminate typical creaks and wobble. The design emphasizes a noise-free sleeping surface once fully assembled.
Style and use: The combination of a rustic wood-look headboard and footboard with frosted metal slats creates an industrial-rustic aesthetic that suits bedrooms with a vintage or modern farmhouse feel. It functions as a mattress foundation, so a box spring is not required.
Assembly: The frame is designed for quick setup. All required hardware and instructions are included and an adult can typically complete assembly in about 30 minutes without additional tools, though having basic tools on hand can speed the process.
Pros
- Strong metal build with 800 lb capacity
- Quiet, non-squeaking design
- Generous 12-inch under-bed storage
Cons
- Mattress can shift without retainers
- Sharp metal corners may need protection
- Wider side profile can look large on some mattresses
VerdictA robust, quiet metal platform bed that delivers solid support, ample under-bed storage, and an industrial-rustic look thanks to the waterproof, scratch-resistant wood panels. Assembly is straightforward, and the frame holds up well to regular use. Consider anti-slip mattress retainers and corner guards to prevent sliding and bangs.

Handles bigger sleepers with no creaks
Owned it for about a month and like the clean design. I’m over 300 lb and haven’t experienced any problems or noises. I added mattress slide brackets which work well. No box spring needed. Assembly took around 40 minutes.

Solid, quiet frame with lots of storage
Very sturdy and straightforward to assemble; all hardware was labeled and there were spare pieces. The box is heavy on delivery. Mattress sits well without a box spring, but you will want mattress stoppers—mine slid until I added them. It’s quiet and provides plenty of under-bed room. Tools aren’t required but speed the process.

Surprisingly high quality; protect the corners
I expected a flimsy look but this feels solid and assembled easily with clear instructions. It looks great and is very robust. The only issue was the sharp corners — foam corner covers solved that problem.

Better looking and stronger than I expected
I avoided expensive wood frames while I move frequently, so I opted for a metal option. Packaging protected everything and assembly revealed a very solid, wobble-free frame. The wooden panels match the photos and the overall build feels premium for what I paid. Very pleased with the quality.

No noise but mattress tends to slide
Frame is stable and silent when getting in and out. My queen mattress drifts to either side depending on entry, so I bought a mattress holder to keep it centered. The metal edges can catch your shins, and the width is slightly wider than a typical queen. Update after several months: still silent and sturdy.
