5.9-Inch Textured Feeding Bowl for Parakeets, Lovebirds & Cockatiels
Product description
What you get: a single round textured feeding bowl approximately 5.9 inches (15 cm) across and 1.6 inches (4 cm) tall, sold as a freestanding dish for bird cages and feeding platforms.
Surface and finish: the rim, interior and low central post display a visibly rough, porous texture that resembles natural stone rather than a glossy smooth dish. The thicker edges and interior texture make it easy for birds to grip and for owners to spot wear.
Raised center design: a small, low rise in the middle provides an additional textured contact point, helping separate food while keeping most of the bowl available for seeds or pellets. The center is kept low so birds can still see and reach their food easily.
Placement and form factor: the bowl is a single-piece, low-profile unit with a wide round base intended for flat surfaces — cage floors, shelves or dedicated feeding platforms. It is freestanding and comes without hooks, clamps or hanging fittings.
Recommended use and sizing: sized for parakeets, lovebirds, cockatiels, small conures and similar pet birds. Best suited to dry mixes such as seeds, pellets and small treats. Review your bird’s dimensions and feeding habits to confirm this size is appropriate.
Pros
- Spacious 5.9 in feeding area
- Stone-like porous texture for traction and chewing
- Stable freestanding base for flat surfaces
Cons
- Not designed to hang or clamp to cage bars
- Meant for dry food only, not liquids or wet mixes
- Too small for larger parrot species
VerdictThis one-piece, low-profile bowl suits small to medium companion birds that eat seeds, pellets or dry snacks and need a stable, non-hanging dish. The rough, porous finish and raised center give added traction and chewing interest. It’s not intended for wet foods or for mounting; check the 5.9 in diameter and 1.6 in height against your bird’s needs before purchasing.

Chinchillas give it a paw of approval
My chins adore this pumice bowl — they chew it and stash tiny food bits and chew toys in it.

Hand-sized bowl that helped my rabbit
Lightweight and about the size of my hand; though made for birds it stopped my rabbit from digging food out. She chews it instead of plastic, and it matches her scratching pad material.
