3-Pack Slow-Feed Hay Nets for Horses & Livestock — 2.3" Holes (Black)
Product description
Designed to slow grazing, each hay net features 2.3-inch square openings in a cross-woven mesh that encourages animals to pull at small sections of hay rather than gulping large mouthfuls. That slower intake helps reduce waste and supports healthier digestion for horses and other herbivores.
The nets are made from thick nylon material intended to resist tearing and general wear. The robust construction stands up to wind, sun and rain without losing shape, decreasing the need for frequent replacements compared with thinner alternatives.
Loading is simplified by a wide top opening, and the extended drawstrings are built to cinch the bag closed and attach it securely. The cords allow fastening to stable posts, trailer interiors, walls, fencing or hay hoops for both stationary and travel use.
These slow-feed bags are suitable for a range of hay-eating livestock — horses, goats, donkeys and similar animals — providing a cleaner, more controlled feeding setup that reduces waste and mimics natural grazing behavior.
This listing includes three slow-feed hay nets, each measuring 40 inches in length. Their capacity covers typical daily feeding needs; extras can be kept as spares or used in rotation for convenience.

Reduces waste — sturdy
Sturdy bag that holds a good amount of hay and cuts down on waste. My goats and alpacas feed without issue; aside from the rare horn getting tangled, they’re safer. Holes are small enough to keep heads from slipping through.

Too narrow for my hay hoop
I’ve tried several brands for hoops and trailers. This one lacked the loops and width to fit my hay hoop — when stretched it only reached about 36 inches. The drawstring is no thicker than the mesh. Works for minis, ponies and small stock, but not larger horses.
