12-Inch Felt Turntable Mat — Great Wave Slipmat
Product description
Included: One 12-inch (30 cm) felt slipmat printed with a Great Wave motif.
Material and construction: Made from medium-density polyester felt fibres, this slipmat measures 12 inches (30 cm) in diameter with a thickness of 0.118 inch (3 mm). The center spindle hole is 0.275 inch (7 mm) to match standard turntable spindles. The felt has a soft, fabric texture and a printed surface for visual appeal.
How to use: Place the mat flat on the platter with the spindle through the center hole, then set the record on top. The felt layer reduces direct contact between the platter and the vinyl, lowering friction and helping to limit static buildup. It also provides a small amount of mechanical isolation to dampen platter vibration and protect the record’s playing surface.
Performance notes: Best suited for users who want a protective, decorative felt mat. It offers modest vibration control and friction reduction compared with harder mats, and it’s compatible with most standard 12-inch LP setups. Ideal for collectors who want to preserve records and enhance the look of their player.
Pros
- Reduces friction and static
- Protects vinyl surface
- Attractive printed artwork
Cons
- Less grip than rubber or acrylic
- Not ideal for oversized platters
- May slightly soften high-frequency detail
VerdictA simple, attractive felt platter mat that helps reduce vibration and surface wear on records while adding a decorative touch. It won’t replace rubber or acrylic for grip or some audiophile preferences, but it protects vinyl and improves tracking on many decks.

Stopped skips on my vertical deck
I have a vertical Fuse player that was skipping frequently. This felt mat eliminated the skips on every record I tried and looks great on the platter.

Wrong size on me, still cool
I didn’t check measurements and it’s bigger than my turntable, but the artwork looks rad.

Cute and functional for a teen's player
Bought it to help keep dust off my daughter’s turntable. She loves the design and it still performs its protective role.

Good look, basic felt feel
Material is just felt with a center hole and a sharp print. Could grip records a bit better, but playback wasn’t affected.

Impresión y grosor correctos
Estéticamente está muy bien, la impresión es nítida y tiene buen grosor. En sonido prefiero acrílico porque el fieltro atenúa algo las agudas, pero cumple y no genera estática.
