LPHUMEX 3-Pack Universal Ceiling Fan Remote Control Kits (3 Remotes + 3 Mini Receivers)
Product description
What you get: three handheld remotes and three small inline receiver modules — one pair for each fan. Each remote provides high/medium/low/off fan speed selection, a single-stage light on/off button (no dimming), and four timer choices (1, 2, 4, 8 hours).
Construction and size: the remotes are plastic-bodied handheld transmitters. The inline receivers are compact electronic modules with plastic housings and internal circuitry; they are noticeably smaller than many standard receivers so they’re easier to fit inside most fan canopies.
Compatibility: these kits are intended for typical AC motor ceiling fans and are advertised to work with the majority of conventional models (they are not compatible with DC motor fans). Receivers come pre-paired to their remotes and, out of the box, each unit uses a different frequency to prevent interference between multiple fans in one home.
How it’s installed: installation doesn’t require removing blades or the light kit in most cases. To access the wiring you loosen the canopy collar and slide it down to reach the electric box. The receiver connects to the house power with two incoming wires and provides three output wires to the fan (fan motor, light, neutral). Standard wire connectors are included and basic familiarity with fan wiring is helpful for a smooth install.
Operation notes: the remote controls fan speed and light on/off from a distance without precise aiming. The receiver includes a short antenna lead that may need to be positioned inside the canopy for reliable reception. The kit does not provide a light dimming feature; it toggles the light fully on or off.
Pros
- Compact receiver modules fit most canopies
- Simple installation with included connectors
- 3-speed fan control plus timer and light on/off
Cons
- Not compatible with DC motor fans
- Antenna can protrude from canopy and affect fit
- Light may revert to ON after power interruptions
VerdictA practical retrofit for standard AC ceiling fans: the kit gives remote control of fan speeds, light on/off, and timed shutoff with compact receivers designed to tuck into canopies. Installation requires basic wiring skills and the units come pre-paired to avoid cross interference, making this a convenient alternative to replacing a whole fan.

Solid value
Just installed and it does exactly what it should. Very simple setup and functions correctly.

Poor reception and failed after two months
Installed about two months ago and it rarely worked without precise aiming at the antenna. Eventually it stopped responding entirely. Reception and reliability were disappointing for me.

Good OEM-style replacement
Replaced an existing controller from a different brand. The module is slightly larger but still fits under the canopy. The remote matches the original functions; remember it doesn’t include batteries.

Saved me from buying a new fan
Install was quick and restored full function to a fan I thought might need replacing. Much cheaper and simpler than swapping the whole fixture. Works exactly as intended.

Quieted my buzzing fan
My old control leaked power and buzzed. Swapping in this unit stopped the noise in about 20 minutes. The fan had to be taken apart to access the module, which was the only tedious part.

Heads-up: light can come back on after outage
Remote works without precise aiming and was easy to wire in. One issue: after a power interruption the light defaults back to ON every time. Not ideal for a bedroom, but otherwise a good remote.

Convenient in-bed control
Tight fit inside the canopy but wiring was easy. I keep my wall dimmer on so the remote works. Speed settings and the 1/2/4/8 hr timer are very handy at night. The small antenna sticks out a bit but isn’t very noticeable.

Not compatible with some Hunter models
This unit did not work properly with a Hunter fan — it didn’t adapt speeds correctly and could stress the motor. I cannot recommend it for those Hunter models.

Voltage compatibility warning
Bought for use in a 220V region and discovered the unit runs on 110V only. Check voltage compatibility before purchasing for international use.

Three kits installed without hassle
Bought one kit for each bedroom to avoid pull chains. Setup was straightforward if you’re comfortable with basic fan wiring. Each kit included wire connectors and the first fan has run perfectly for weeks with no interference.
