HiyaHiya Yarn Ball Stitch Markers — Knit Needle Markers
Product description
Each package includes six yarn-ball stitch markers in mixed colors. The markers are constructed as single-piece loops formed around a small yarn-wrapped bead, so there are no separate rings or joins that can detach.
They are sized to accommodate knitting needles up to 10 mm and slide on and off to mark pattern repeats, increases, decreases, or row counts. Their soft, yarn-covered surface is intended to prevent catching or abrading delicate fibers, making them suited for lace and smooth yarns alike.
To use, slip the loop over the needle at the desired stitch or position; the snug opening helps avoid loosening stitches while remaining easy to move when needed. The compact, lightweight design keeps them unobtrusive while working.
Pros
- Soft, yarn-covered surface avoids yarn snags
- One-piece loop construction resists coming apart
- Bright colors make markers easy to spot
Cons
- Fit can be tight on larger needles despite 10 mm claim
- A few reported units arrived missing functional loops
- Small size may feel bulky on very fine needles
VerdictThese yarn-wrapped stitch markers are gentle on yarn and easy to spot in a project. They come as a set of six in varied colors and are made as single-piece loops so they won’t fall apart or snag like some metal alternatives. Most users find them reliable on medium to large needles, though fit can vary and a few buyers reported defective items lacking a usable loop. Overall they offer a soft, color

Fun little stitch markers
Bright and easy to find in my work. The loop has fit my larger needles so far and I liked them enough to order a second set.

Nifty!!!
Nice little markers — no snagging like with metal ones. I’m happy to recommend them for that reason.

Nicely made but small
Well made and colorful, but they’re smaller than expected. I wouldn’t rely on them for very large needles; they feel best on mid-size gauges.

Love my new stitch markers!
Perfect for my large-needle project (US 15). They held their shape and didn’t overstretch. Worked well for the pattern I’m knitting and I’m happy with how they perform.

Excellent!
These markers solved my snag problem — metal rings used to catch and sometimes pop off. The single-piece yarn-ball loops stay intact and are lightweight, so they don't loosen stitches. I use them for lace and regular knitting and bought more because I like them so much.

Too big for fine needles
They can be obtrusive on small needles, but on anything larger than a 10 they’re soft, colorful, and unobtrusive. Good markers for bigger projects.

Non-functional!!
Updated: My recent set arrived without any usable loops — they can’t be placed on needles, so they’re unusable. That’s a clear quality-control miss. My earlier purchase was cute and functional, though I did note they felt a bit pricey for six tiny markers.
