Designed for precise marking in welding, metal fabrication and construction, this flat soapstone holder kit keeps soapstone protected while letting you lay out clear lines on steel, iron and aluminum.

The package contains two flat soapstone holders and two extra flat soapstone refills. Each refill measures 3/16" x 1/2" x 5" (thickness x width x length). The holders are built from stainless steel for corrosion resistance and long service life and include a non-corrosive channel that guides the soapstone for smooth sliding and simple refills.

A brass indexing trigger lets you depress with thumb and index finger to advance the soapstone to the next stop, enabling easy one-handed operation. A spring pocket clip is integrated into the design for secure carry on a shirt or tool pocket. The flat steel profile and channel case arrangement help prevent soapstone breakage during transport and use.

All soapstone sticks are natural white soapstone cut on the grain to increase strength and durability. They have low water content for improved hardness and less tendency to crumble. Marks are visible on metal but do not contaminate welds and are easily removed during finishing. Overall, the kit is intended for welders, metalworkers, and tradespeople who need dependable, refillable marking tools.
