Dropps UltraWash Dishwasher Detergent Pods — Unscented, 32 Count
Product description
What’s included: a box of 32 unscented Dropps UltraWash dishwasher detergent pods. The formula is a dual-action, USDA Biobased blend (81% biobased) that combines targeted enzymes with oxygen-powered cleaning to break down grease, oils and baked-on food.
No pre-rinse required: the pods are formulated with mineral-based water softeners to reduce spotting and filming, so glassware and plates reach a high shine without an extra rinse step. They’re designed to help dishes come out so clean you could eat off them.
Easy to use: each pod is a single-dose, no-measure packet—simply place one into your dishwasher’s detergent compartment. Pods dissolve across wash cycles and are intended to work with all dishwasher models, cycle types and water temperatures.
Cleaner ingredient profile: the UltraWash formula is made without dyes, sulfates, phosphates, chlorine, gluten, parabens or phthalates. The product is cruelty-free, vegan and labeled septic safe for peace of mind in varied household setups.
Company and manufacture: Dropps operates as a certified B-Corporation and has focused on household cleaning solutions for decades. These pods are produced in North America and carry Leaping Bunny approval for animal-testing standards.
Packaging and practical notes: pods come packaged for household use and are meant to dissolve fully during the wash. They offer a lower-chemical alternative to traditional dishwasher detergents while aiming to maintain reliable cleaning performance across typical home dishwashers.
Pros
- Strong grease and stuck-on food removal
- Unscented, low-chemical formula with eco certifications
- Single-dose pods for no-measure, no-mess convenience
Cons
- Performance can dip with very old machines or extremely hard water
- Pods can be fragile if handled roughly
- Some users report occasional residue on very stubborn baked-on soils
VerdictThese unscented pods deliver strong grease-cutting and stain removal in a convenient single-dose format, with eco-minded ingredients and broad machine compatibility. Performance can vary with very old machines or very hard water, and a few users report occasional handling issues, but overall they’re an effective, lower-chemical choice for everyday dishwashing.

Pods arrived stuck and fragile
Cleaning is okay and I like the eco focus, but many pods were stuck together in the box. Trying to separate them often tore the packets and spilled powder, wasting product. I won’t buy again for that reason.

Better performance than I expected
I figured these would match typical supermarket brands, but they outperformed them. Dishes and glasses came out cleaner with no leftover film. Using a formula with fewer harsh chemicals is a big plus; worth the premium for me.

No hard water spots here in Arizona
Cleans well and didn’t need extra drying agents. I’m in AZ with hard water, yet I didn’t get spotting, and the pods sit neatly in the dispenser without clumping. Have repurchased multiple times.

Sparkling results from my 20-year-old dishwasher
I have very hard water in South Texas and a roughly 20-year-old dishwasher. I’ve been switching to gentler products for health reasons and struggled to get dishes clean with another brand. I tried two of these pods and most items were about 99% clean—top rack plates and cups mostly spotless, a few tumblers with slight residue, and the bottom rack silverware came out clean.

Eco-conscious cleaning that actually works
The pods dissolve fully and eliminate powder or liquid mess. They tackle baked-on grime well and leave no overpowering scent—just clean dishes. Packaging is minimal and recyclable, which I appreciate.

Gentle on finishes while cleaning effectively
After three months I’ve been impressed. Pods are compact, the mild scent is pleasant, and finishes and colors on glass and measuring cups haven’t been dulled. Only one very burned casserole needed extra scrubbing.

Second to another eco brand in my tests
I compared these to two other eco options. One outperformed them slightly, but Dropps rinsed well with minimal residue. Not perfect, but a solid fallback if needed.

Good eco credentials; results depend on water hardness
I like the environmental approach: no phosphates or chlorine, cruelty-free and recyclable packaging. The pods are very convenient. Cleaning is solid overall, though water hardness affects spot-free results in my tests.
