3/4 in x 8-1/2 in Zinc-Plated Wedge Anchors — Box of 10
Product description
Construction and finish: Each wedge anchor is manufactured from carbon steel and finished with a zinc plating to provide basic corrosion resistance. The kit includes the anchor body plus a nut and washer for each fastener.
Intended base material and environment: These anchors are designed exclusively for concrete substrates. They should not be used in brick, block, grout, or other masonry products. They are specified for dry indoor or protected outdoor conditions rather than permanently wet environments.
Drilling and bit requirements: Installers must drill a 3/4" diameter hole in the concrete with a carbide-tipped drill bit that meets ANSI specifications. Use a hammer drill to achieve the correct hole profile and depth.
Dimensions and thread details: The anchor body measures 3/4" in diameter with an overall length of 8-1/2". The threaded portion provides approximately 4" of thread length, offering allowance for fixtures up to the maximum recommended thickness.
Embedment and fixture limits: Minimum embedment into the concrete is 3-1/4", so plan the installation so at least that length is beneath the concrete surface. The maximum fixture thickness that still allows the minimum embedment is 4-1/2". The hole through the fixture should be larger than the anchor diameter — a 1" hole is recommended for the 3/4" anchor to allow clearance.
Torque and layout recommendations: To properly set the wedge expansion, torque each anchor to between 150 and 175 ft·lb. Maintain a center-to-center spacing of at least 7-1/2" between anchors, and keep anchors no closer than 3-3/4" to an unsupported concrete edge to avoid splitting the base material.
Performance note: The wedge expansion mechanism provides a strong mechanical interlock in solid concrete when the anchor is installed to the specified embedment and torque. Following the drilling, spacing, edge distance and torque specs will maximize holding capacity and long-term reliability.
Pros
- Includes matching nut and washer
- Long thread length for thicker fixtures
- Zinc plating adds basic corrosion protection
Cons
- For concrete only — not for block or brick
- Not rated for wet or submerged environments
- Requires hammer drill and ANSI carbide bit
VerdictThese zinc-plated, carbon-steel wedge anchors deliver reliable performance when used in concrete and installed to the specified embedment and torque. They include the nut and washer needed for fastening, offer substantial thread length for thicker fixtures, and provide the expansion hold required for heavy-duty mounts — provided you follow the minimum embedment, spacing, edge distance and torque g

Good for two-post lift installs
Used a dozen on a 2-post lift. Most torqued to spec easily; one failed and I swapped it out. After replacement all anchors are holding fine.

Did the job under load
Some bit immediately while others needed more turns to bite, but they held my 2-post hoist while lifting a 9,000 lb truck.
