6 oz Clear Exhibit Gel — Reusable Display Putty for Collectibles
Product description
What you get: one 6 oz tub of clear exhibit gel — a pliable, reusable putty intended to anchor items on horizontal surfaces.
Residue-free removal: the gel stays pliant and does not cure into a hard compound. When used as directed it can be removed and repositioned without leaving residue or damaging finished, smooth surfaces.
Longevity: the material is formulated to remain tacky and usable for many applications; the formula supports well over 200 placements when handled properly and stored between uses.
How to use: pinch off a pea-sized amount, roll it into a small ball, press it to the base of the object, then press the object onto the flat surface. Allow roughly 30 minutes for the gel to seat before relying on the hold.
Material properties: transparent putty crafted from natural-based ingredients. It is low-odor, non-yellowing, shock-absorbing and designed to be non-slip so collectibles stay put during mild vibration or movement.
Surface guidance: intended for horizontal, smooth surfaces only — plastics, finished wood, glass, metal and glazed ceramics. Do not use on vertical surfaces, sloped areas, hanging items, paper, raw/unsealed wood or any microporous materials that can stain or mark.
Application tips: for small objects use only a small amount. If excess oozes out, let it sit for about 30 minutes then remove the surplus. Avoid heavy deposits on porous or untreated finishes to prevent discoloration.
Customer support: the manufacturer offers responsive support for any shipping spills or product issues; contact them promptly if you experience problems.

Okay value, average quality
Good ease of use, but quality and value are just average compared with other options. I might try a different brand next time for the price.

Surprisingly effective
Was skeptical but it worked well in our RV to hold small decor items. Uses are minimal and it performs as advertised — will buy more as I finish decorating.

Displays stay put
Works well with small decorative pieces, easy to apply and removes cleanly from smooth surfaces when needed.

Does the job
Clear and easy to see when you lift it. Holds small ornaments steady and is simple to use. Kids said it felt like slime, and it’s reusable for many placements. Might also work for lightweight posters.

Stops the cats
Holds items so my cats can’t knock them over. No visible residue so far and no more broken vases.

Very tacky and substantial
Thick and quite sticky at first; avoid excessive handling or the tack loses strength. The jar is larger than expected and should last a while.

Melted and stained my crib sheets
It oozed on my baby’s crib and the camera it was meant to secure slipped off. The goo dripped and stained the sheets; stain removers didn’t work. The camera stayed put without the gel afterwards. Wouldn’t recommend for delicate or absorbent finishes.

Leaves greasy marks
Left oily stains on leather and wood — not ideal for porous materials. Easy to use and handles light jobs, but take care on unfinished surfaces.

Great for crystal displays
Excellent for securing crystals — very tacky and self-adhesive, a little melts around bases to hold well. Can be stubborn to remove from some items (a butter knife helps). Not for vertical surfaces; meant for horizontal use and a small amount goes a long way.
