Thorn-Resistant Cowhide Gardening Gloves — Long-Sleeve Pruning Gloves
Product description
What you get: one pair of long-sleeve gardening gloves constructed entirely from genuine cowhide leather. Each set includes reinforced stitching at high-stress points to extend service life during repetitive pruning and clearing.
Material and feel: Made from 100% cowhide, the leather is thick enough to resist thorns yet supple enough to allow finger movement. The design incorporates breathable panels to help reduce perspiration during extended use.
Coverage and sizing: These gloves feature an extended sleeve that shields the wrist and lower forearm from scratches and sun exposure. They are offered in a range of sizes (S, M, L, XL) to suit both smaller and larger hands.
Protection and uses: Built for thorn resistance, the gloves are suitable for rose pruning, cactus handling, blackberry and hawthorn work, as well as general planting, weeding and soil mixing. The long cuff helps prevent penetration and keeps debris off the skin.
Durability and care: Reinforced seams and rugged cowhide make these gloves appropriate for heavy-duty garden chores and outdoor DIY. Wipe clean after use and allow to air dry to maintain flexibility and longevity.

Soft, Tough and Long-Lasting
Soft, durable cowhide that outperforms cheaper alternatives. They’ve held up well through heavy use and are much easier to work in. I’ll buy another pair when needed.

Sizing Tip — Medium Works for Me
Arrived promptly and feels like good quality. I usually wear a medium in garden or latex gloves and the medium here fits perfectly. I considered the size chart but went with medium after reading other feedback, and I’m confident I can tackle blackberry shoots with them.

Reliable Shield Against Thorns and Spines
Ideal for roses and other thorny plants — nothing penetrated during normal handling and the cuffs are long enough for forearm protection. Both my partner and I like them; I bought an extra pair for him.

Survived a Hawthorn Takedown — Tough Protection
I tested these gloves over several months while removing an entire hawthorn tree. The thorns on that bush are brutal, and the gloves handled the majority of the job without letting much through. I only felt a few pokes when I was crushing branches — situations that strain any glove. The cowhide really stood up to the challenge, and they stayed comfortable and breathable during long sessions.

Nearly Thornproof, Comfortable Leather
Picked these for roses and a spiky yucca. The leather is thick yet surprisingly soft and the sleeves fit over larger forearms. A couple of thorns still made it through during heavy duty pruning, so not infallible, but they’re the most protective I’ve tried. Flexible and comfortable to wear for long jobs.
