Magnetic ND32 Neutral Density Filter for DJI Neo 2 Drone
Product description
Designed specifically to match the DJI Neo 2 camera assembly and its field of view, this ND32 neutral density filter reduces incoming light by approximately five stops to prevent overexposure in bright conditions. The package includes the ND32 glass filter with an aircraft-grade metal frame and a thin metal mounting ring that adheres to the gimbal's front using the supplied adhesive tape.
The filter element is multi-coated high-definition optical glass engineered to maintain color fidelity and edge-to-edge sharpness while minimizing reflections and flare. The frame is lightweight yet durable, made from corrosion-resistant aircraft-grade alloy so it won't noticeably affect gimbal balance when installed correctly.
Installation involves affixing the supplied metal ring to the non-metallic front of the gimbal with the included adhesive strip; once that ring is in place the filter locks on magnetically for tool-free swaps during a shoot. Use this ND32 to lower shutter speeds for natural motion blur and smoother aerial footage, especially under strong sunlight. The construction is splash-resistant and built for outdoor use, providing a reliable accessory for daytime flying.
Pros
- Quick magnetic attachment for fast swaps
- Five-stop (ND32) light reduction for sunny conditions
- Multi-coated glass in a lightweight aircraft-grade frame
Cons
- Requires adhesive metal ring on the gimbal
- Some users report minor gimbal alignment assistance on startup
- Not directly magnetic to the non-metallic gimbal surface
VerdictA practical solution for daytime aerial videography, this ND32 filter gives a firm five-stop reduction to avoid blown highlights and enable natural motion blur. The optical glass is multi-coated and housed in a lightweight aircraft-grade frame that resists corrosion and keeps images crisp. Setup requires attaching the included thin metal mounting ring with its adhesive backing to the Neo 2 gimbal,

Simple to install
Fits well on the Neo 2 — the magnetic attachment makes switching filters fast and hassle-free.

Does the job, but needs the ring
I knew I wanted an ND filter for outdoor video and this ND32 performs as expected. One downside: the gimbal front isn’t metal, so you must stick the supplied metal ring on with its adhesive for the magnet to work. I’m not a fan of gluing things to the camera, and after power-up I had to nudge the gimbal into position once or twice, though image results and motion blur were improved.

Excellent for bright daylight aerial footage
This ND32 delivers a true five-stop cut, making midday shots usable and letting you lower shutter speed for cinematic motion. The magnetic system makes field changes fast, the multi-coated glass keeps colors accurate with no visible tint, and the aircraft-grade frame is light and durable. Overall a solid upgrade for outdoor Neo 2 filming.
