Kipling Gaze Large Wheeled Women's Backpack — Rolling Nylon Daypack
Product description
The Gaze Large Rolling Backpack is constructed from Kipling’s signature water-resistant crinkled nylon that wipes clean. The pack is designed to function both as a backpack and as a rolling bag: padded shoulder straps are adjustable and can be stowed when you use the telescoping handle and wheels.
Capacity and weight: the Gaze holds about 26 liters and weighs roughly 4.37 lbs, giving it a lightweight feel for its volume and making it suitable for carry-on use or short trips. The retractable handle extends between about 27.9 and 37.4 inches to suit different users and rolling styles. Two rolling wheels and a molded base support upright rolling when the bag isn’t on your back.
Storage and carry options: the exterior includes two zippered front pockets for quick-access items and a top carry handle for lifting. Inside you’ll find an open main compartment sized for daily essentials and small tech; however, internal dividers are minimal compared with more organizationally focused bags. The adjustable padded backpack straps make shoulder carry comfortable when you prefer to wear it.
Uses and availability: Gaze works well for laptops and tablets (check device dimensions against the main compartment), travel, college, business, or family outings such as a diaper bag alternative. Kipling sells its styles in many countries and offers Gaze in a range of colors to suit kids, teens and adults. This product is intended for persons 13 years of age and older.
Pros
- Lightweight for a 26 L rolling pack
- Switches between backpack and roller easily
- Water-resistant, easy-clean crinkled nylon
Cons
- Limited internal pockets or zippered dividers
- Straps can rub if not secured when rolling
- No dedicated suitcase-connecting strap
VerdictA versatile carry option that blends a compact 26-liter capacity with rolling convenience. At 4.37 lbs the Gaze is easy to carry or wheel, and its water-resistant crinkled nylon cleans up simply. It’s ideal for short trips, commuting, campus life, or as a grab-and-go bag, though users wanting lots of internal compartments may find the organization sparse.

Don’t buy!!
Avoid this one. Straps tore within a week and the wheels/straps failed. Very disappointed.

Neat, super lightweight rolling backpack
Exactly what I needed to move my laptop and work items without shoulder strain. Wheels smoothly, stays upright, neat size, three pockets plus side bottle space, and a light interior that makes finding things easier.

Schoolbag with wheel
Not huge but just right for school use. I bought it mainly because it has wheels.

This backpack is good for men, too!
I wasn’t sure the women’s label applied to me, but my daughter gifted it and I’ve used it for eight months of travel. It’s performed far better than many bags I’ve owned. I removed the small toy charm for my granddaughter, but otherwise it suits me fine and draws no odd attention when I roll it through airports.

Very cute bag, design is a bit dated/wanting
Adorable and handy for overnights, but lacks an internal zip pocket or dividers, no side-rolling option, and no easy way to stow straps fully—mine began to fray from rubbing. A luggage-strap option would help. Still like the look and Kipling brand.

Light, adaptable, and ideal for travel — works for adults too. I’ll share an update after more months of use.
